Samara started her writing career whilst working at arts and culture publication, Moustache Magazine in their marketing team. To be completely honest, Samara’s life is a fairly awkward place to be, and after a series of particularly odd things happened to her on a job one weekend, the editor of the Magazine urged her to write one article about her experiences.
The article in question, which was aptly called “Stop Putting Things up your Bum and Think of the Children” became overnight one of the most clicked on articles for the Magazine that year. From this point, Samara’s cheeky and relatable articles became regulars in the Magazine’s ‘five most popular’ each week.
Samara soon started combining her marketing background with her talent with words to write influential articles and copy, having written for for companies such as Johnny Walker Blue Label, Bondi Sands, Rekorderlig, Brisbane Festival, Heart of Gold, Makeup Weapons and Beer In Cider Festival just to name a few. Furthermore, with her background in makeup, she is also the Beauty Columnist for Mission Beautiful Magazine.
And yes, right this very moment Samara is writing about herself in third person, see her catalogue of work for Moustache Magazine here.
